KEVEVAPI Strengthens Partnerships for a Thriving Livestock Sector

At the Kenya Meat Expo 2025, the Managing Director, Dr. Alex Sabuni, had the honor of hosting Hon. Mutahi Kagwe, Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, alongside Principal Secretary Jonathan Mueke, Kajiado County Governor Joseph Ole Lenku, and other distinguished leaders. The high-profile engagement underscored KEVEVAPI’s pivotal role in advancing Kenya’s meat value chain and driving sustainable growth in the livestock economy.

During the discussions, Dr. Sabuni highlighted KEVEVAPI’s commitment to innovation, quality assurance, and stakeholder collaboration —key pillars in enhancing meat production, processing, and market access. He emphasized the organization’s efforts in improving livestock health standards, boosting farmer livelihoods, and ensuring food security across the country.

The meeting also explored strategic partnerships between the national government, county leadership, and industry players to streamline policies, enhance value addition, and expand export opportunities. As Kenya positions itself as a leader in Africa’s meat and livestock sector, such collaborations are critical in fostering economic resilience and sector-wide transformation.
