Livestock Vaccination Campaign
Livestock Vaccination Campaign
Kenya Veterinary Vaccines Production Institute (KEVEVAPI) has a major role by ensuring that animals remain healthy through the production and distribution of high quality vaccines for disease control both within the country and for export. As aligned to its mandate and the Bottom Up Economic Transformative Agenda (BETA). The Cabinet Secretary Ministry of Agriculture & Livestock Development Dr. Andrew Karanja visited our Foot and Mouth Disease Laboratory Headquarter at Embakasi to assess its readiness as the government rolls out mass livestock vaccination in January. Under the BETA initiative, the government plans to vaccinate 22 million cattle against Foot and Mouth Disease.
KEVEVAPI is prepared to meet this demand with high-quality vaccines, ensuring timely supply to counties and private veterinarians across the country. The Cabinet Secretary was received by the Managing Director Dr. Alex Sabuni, Board Chairperson Professor Kimathi Mbogori, Board Members, Director of Veterinary Services Technical Team, and the KEVEVAPI Management Team.
